Kirkby Stephen SSBA 'C' District Ram Sale Day 3

Harrison & Hetherington held the third day of the annual Swaledale Sheep Breeders Association ‘C’ District ram sale on Friday. 

The sale topped at £32,000 was Murton Hall Majestic consigned by Messrs Harker, Murton Hall, Murton and was purchased by Messrs Raine & Son, Stanhope Gate Farm, Middleton in Teesdale.

Messrs Bland, Cotegill, Gaisgill sold Cotegill Yoyo to make £25,000 selling to Messrs Lighfoot, Gillside Farm, Glendinning and Messrs Allinson, West Briscoe, Baldersdale.

Messrs Hargreaves, Meadow Bank, Barley sold Meadow Bank MN 19^th to make £18,000 selling to Messrs Allinson, West Briscoe, Baldersdale and Messrs Hutchinson, Valley Farm, Bowes.

Messrs Cowperthwaite, Howith Farm, Austwick sold Howith Roger 1^st to £18000 again selling to Messrs Allinson, West Briscoe, Baldersdale and Messrs Hutchinson, Valley Farm, Bowes.

Messrs White, Rigg Farm, Middleton in Teesdale sold Rigg Roman Emperor to also reach £18000 selling to Burncroft Farm, Eggleston and Messrs Lightfoot, Gillside Farm, Glenridding.

An overall sale average of £2612.23 was achieved with an overall clearance rate of 89%.

A fantastic overall average of £2556.96 for the shearlings for the two days was achieved with an overall clearance rate of 89.7%.
