Middleton in Teesdale Mart held their March Sale of Store Cattle.
A total of 100 stores were presented to a ringside of optimism and positivity with a large turnout of buyers. Middleton continues to provide quality cattle which is full credit to the vendors of the area.
Topping the sale was a simply outstanding heifer from W & N Foster, Birch Bush, Barnard Castle selling for £1300 with the overall sale of heifers being up £120 on the year.
Bullocks were in strong demand with 8-10 month old steers selling regularly over £1000 and topping at £1100 from Tarn Bros, Step Ends thus seeing bullocks £80 on the year.
Highlight of the day came from Messrs Watson & Son, Stoneyhill selling their run of 6 steers and heifers aged 8 months levelling out at £1005.
Entries are now being taken for the April sale.
