Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday, 30th October Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned bulls and weaners.  A smaller show of 280 were forward with a total sale average of £840.11.  Bulls topped at £1490 from IT Goldie, Greenfield for a 17 month old Beef Shorthorn.  Steers topped at £1390 for a pen of three from J Hepburn & Co, Northhouse who’s run of 14 averaged £1279.79.  The same home topped the heifer section selling to £1400 for a Charolais heifer.  Messrs Watson, Rotherhope sold a Limousin heifer to £1400.  David Mattinson, Cragg Farm sold 12 British Blue Dairy bred steers at 10 months of age to average £810.83.
