Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 6^th November Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.

Quality on the week would be less but still a large offering with trade being reflected on the quality forward.

Top price today goes to Messrs Boyd, Rockhallhead topping at £630 for a Limousin heifer and Messrs Boyd also had a heifer to £500. Simmentals topped at £500 from Messrs Harrison,  Roundhill and Blues topped at £465 from Messrs Sloan,  Panlands. This consignment also topped the Angus heifer section at £390.

Bulls today topped at £580 from Messrs Boyd,  Rockhallhead for a cracking Limousin  bull and this consignment topped the Simmentals at £530. Messrs Byers Whitehill topped at £525 for Blue bulls and  Angus bulls topped at £485 from Gillespie,  High Ploughlands. Black and whites topped at £320 from Messrs Fisher,  Smalmstown.
