Lazonby Store Lamb Sale

On Thursday 7th November Harrison & Hetherington held its opening sale of store lambs in Lazonby Market.

A flying trade witnessed as the curtain falls on Lazonby for the season. A big thank you to our customers for their continued support this year.

364 head forward

Overall sale average £77.24

H&H sold a smaller offering of 364 store lambs at their end of season sale at Lazonby mart. A more mixed show of quality yet trade was on fire from the offset averaging £77.24 with 25% of the sale being Swaledale lambs.

Topping the sale at £121 was a pen of 5 Texel crosses from Sian Jordon, Low Fauld, Ruckcroft.  R&J Watson, Croglin Low Hall sold a great run of Cheviot Mule lambs to top at £109, selling a pen of 17 to £108 , a pen of 14 to £107 and a pen of 15 to £104. A G Morton, Bank Hall sold a pen of 124 pure Cheviots to £98 and another pen of 31 to £94. Herdwick wethers topped at £92 from R&V Edmondson, Manesty and Swaledale wethers sold to £90 from the same home. Suffolk lambs sold to £110 from Messrs Potter, Rectory Farm. Mule lambs sold to £84 from G&J Hope, Syke Side,
