Kirkby Stephen OTM and Cast Cow Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly Sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping the sale at £1627.65 was a 887kg (183.5p/kg) Black and White cow from Messrs Beck, Townfoot, Tebay purchased by Messrs Fell, Settle.

Messrs Beck also sold seven year old Black and White cow weighing 805kg to make £1477.18 (183.5p/kg).

Topping the pen per kilo was a 598kg Limousin cross cow from Messrs Ousby, Bents Farm, Newbiggin on Lune.

Raine & Davidson, Thorney Gale, Stainmore sold a 591kg Limousin cross cow to make 209.5p/kg £1238.15.

All classes of cast cows and OTM were a flying trade once again.

All classes will be wanted for our Christmas sale on Monday 25^th November with prizes for the top priced continental and dairy cows per head and pence per kilo.
