Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday, 20th November Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned bulls and weaners. A show of 227 were forward to meet a sale average of £876.  A plainer show was forward, however cattle were keenly bid for.  A show of 47 bulls were forward to sell to £1600 for a pair of Limousin cross bulls from Messrs Marr, Egremont,  Messrs Hayward, Colwell sold five 8 month Aberdeen Angus bulls to average £1464 topping at £1520.   Heifers topped at £1560 for a Limousin from John Mews, Glendue, Hexham whose run of 10 month steers and heifers averaged £1290.  Steers topped at £1500 from J & B Metcalfe, High Old Shield for a 12 month old Limousin steer. Messrs Fitzsimon, Tregallon sold a pen of eight, 7 month old dairy bred Angus steers to £920.
