On Monday 2^nd December, Harrison & Hetherington held it’s weekly sale of store lambs in Borderway. Another strong show of 842 were forward to an increased average of £105 being achieved. A legit store lamb trade was witnessed with vendors extremely happy on the day’s trading. Topping the sale went to a single Texel lamb from Mike and Marie Faulder, Ewan Close, selling to £160. The same home sold a pen of 4 to £150 and £144 for £32 sheep to average £137.47. Messrs Beveridge, Tow Law sold a smart pen of 11 Beltex to £136, to average £132 for 20 sold. Messrs Walton, Furnbury sold 35 Mule lambs to £118. Messrs Lamb, Girvan, sold a pen of strong Hill Cheviots to £144. Swaledale lambs topped at £78 for a pen from Messrs Brough, Cherrytree. Many more needed to satisfy demand here at Borderay.
