On Monday 9th December Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of store lambs at Borderway.
A mixed show of quality continued to hit big returns with 378 averaging £99.22.
Today’s trade topped at £130 for a single Texel lamb from M/s AJ Hogg, Far Brownrigg.
Texel averages topped at £116 for a run of lambs from M/s Story, Scarrowhill; Suffolks topped at £122 from M/s Whitfield, Batey Shields with his smart run of 32 lambs averaging £108.72;
Beltex sold to £100 from M/s Bell, Middle Bridge and Herwicks to £98 from M/s AJ Hogg, Far Brownrigg.
More lambs required to fill buyer demand. Forthcoming sales 16th, 23rd December and 6th January
