SALE OF STORE CATTLE

On Wednesday 11^th December Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store cattle.  Where a marvellous entry of 450 head was presented to our usual large ringside of buyers.

Topping the sale at £2500 was a pure British blue heifer consigned by Messrs Comrie, Stonebyers who travelled from Lanarkshire. Bullocks topped at £2000 for a pair of dairy bred British Blue bullocks from Messrs Byres Woodslee, Cannonbie. All classes were a sensational trade from start to finnish way above and beyond anything seen so far. Bullocks averaged at £1600.55, Heifers average at £1532.50 leaving an overall average of £1569.30
