Borderway Store Lamb Sale

On Monday 16^th December Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of store lambs at Borderway, a good selection of all types were sold, seeing every class very keenly bid for. Topping the sale was an outstanding Beltex cross from Messrs Lamb, The How, Seascale, selling to £148 and others to £146. P Storey, Scarrowhill, sold Beltex cross lambs to £131 and £130. Mules sold to £128 from Messrs Purdham, Croft House. DB & CA Edgar, Fellside, sold a pen of 10 Texel crosses to £122. JG Miller, Smith Garth, sold a pen of long keep Texel lambs to £117. Hill Cheviots sold to £114 from Fellside, Ousby. A pen of very long keep Suffolk lambs sold to £108 from A & S McDonald, Bowershield. A Richardson, Low Row sold a pen of long keep Mule lambs to £103. Dorper X lambs sold to £94 and Easycares to £94 from Bowershield.
