Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 31^st March Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of calves with a fantastic entry of 390 head where trade for younger types was dearer on the week.

Topping the sale at £595 were two British Blue bulls consigned by regular vendors Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown, just pipping Mr Fox, Windyhill who sold a Limousin cross bulls selling for £590. 

Heifers sold to a top price of £515 for a British Blue again shown by Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown.

Young Limousin, angus ad British Blue bulls sold regularly at £300 plus and New Zealand type calves also sold well, whilst reared black and white calves continue to sell at £200 plus.
