On the Tuesday 13th at Middleton in Teesdale Mart, Harrison & Hetherington held its April sale of Store Cattle.
A simply outstanding trade was witnessed with all classes of cattle being truly outstanding.
Topping the sale was a Limousin bullock topping at £1130 from Messrs Robinson, Newhouse whose run of twelve 10 month sold Limousin steers and heifers averaged £981.
Heifers from Messrs Watson, Strandfoot topped at £1120 whose run of 4 averaged £1070.
Blonde Steers topped at £1040 from Messrs Sanderson & Bell, Valance Lodge.
Many more cattle could have been sold to the vendors advantage.
