Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 14^th April Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of calves with 276 forward with yet another blistering trade, perhaps the dearest for some time.  Topping todays sale at £610 were two British Blue bulls from regular consignor Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown, this run of 20 calves sold to average an eye watering £565.  Young rearing calves sold with ease with Angus calves being £100 dearer on the week.  Heifers selling regularly £300 plus.  New Zealand system calves sold well with Herefords selling with ease at £200 plus.  A run of 28 Holstein calves at around 40 days old sold to average £188.  Messrs Balmer, sold 4 Charolais calves under a month of age to average £455.  Calves continue to sell well week on week any vendors wishing to sell calves please do not hesitate to contact us.
