Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their weekly Sale of Prime Sheep on when 4090 sheep were forward comprising of 3505 hoggs and 585 cast sheep.

Topping the sale at £223 where a pen of three 62kg Texel cross hoggs from Messrs Dodd, Skylin, Temple Sowerby.

Topping at 520p/kg where a pen of three 40kg Beltex cross hoggs which made £208 from Messrs Skelton, Low House, Maryport.

This home also sold a pen of nine 38kg hoggs to make £190 (500p/kg), and a pen of five 37kg hoggs to make £185 (500p/kg) and a pair of 41kg to make £204 (497.6p/kg) and 38kg at £188 (494.7p/kg).

Messrs Sowerby, Terrys Farm, Appleby-In-Westmorland sold 66kg Texel hoggs to make £220, with another pair of 61kg making £214 also from this home.

Messrs Fettes, Buckie sold a pen of fifteen 56kg Texel cross hoggs to make £212 with another pen of sixteen 54kg Texel cross hoggs making £203 from this home.

Messrs Jackson, Little Beck, Meaburn sold 47kg Beltex cross hoggs to make £212.

Messrs Iveson, The Grange, Richmond sold 48kg Beltex cross hoggs to £210, with a pen of five 66kg Suffolk cross hoggs making £210 from this home.
