Borderway Store and Breeding Sheep Sale

On Monday 27^th January, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs and in lamb sheep in Borderway Mart.  A show of 350 were forward with the sale mainly consisting of long term keep lambs.  The sale topped for a pair of Beltex lambs from M & G Nelson, Braithwaite Hall whose run of 10 averaged £119.  Suffolk lambs topped at £135 for a pair from T Hornsby, Wigton with mules to £106 from the same home.  EasyCare’s topped at £99 for a pen of 33 from Livesey Farming, Melrose.

Breeding sheep topped at £180 for a Texel shearling from W A Bolland, Kirkcudbright.
