Borderway Beef Breeding Sale

On Friday 23^rd April Harrison & Hetherington held their monthly sale of Beef Breeding cattle.

A small show of breeding cattle was forward, with a mixed quality on offer to suit everyone.

Messrs Roots, Kilnford Croft run of Limousin heifers and calves sold to £2700 and Limousin cows and calves to £2350 and £2300.

Messrs Johnson, West Wharmley run of heifers and calves topped at £2330 twice for Limosuin cross heifers and Limousin calves, followed by a Simmental cross heifer and Limousin calf to £2500. British Blue heifers with Limousin calves to £2500.

Messrs Norman, Little Orton Farm run of Limosuin cows and calves topped at £2400 for a Limosuin cow and bull calf.

Messrs Foster, North View sold a Limosuin in calf heifer to £1720 and £1550, with British Blues to £1500. Messrs Bell, The Fitz Farm sold an in calf Limosuin cross heifer for £1600, with Messrs Norman, Little Orton sold an in calf Limousin heifer to £1500.

Ross Farm sold a Limousin cross bulling heifer to £1800and British Blues to £1600 twice. Messrs Halliday, Broathill sold two Limosuin cross Holstein heifers for £1500.
