Kirkby Stephen Beef Breeding Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their February Beef Breeding Cattle Sale.

The sale topped twice at £4000 firstly for a Limousin heifer with a Limousin Bull calf at foot from Messrs Robinson, Prospect Farm, Waitby and sold to Messrs Benson, Gamswell Farm, Ulverston. With a British Blue Heifer with Bull calf at foot also reaching £4000 from Messrs Elliott, Bank House, Mungrisdale selling to Messrs Reed, The Knarr, Brampton.

Messrs Porter, Riddings Farm, Reeth sold a Limousin heifer with Limousin heifer calf at foot to make £3800 selling to Messrs Dargue, Bank Top, Forest in Teesdale.

Incalf heifers also topped at £4000 for a British Blue heifer selling to Messrs White, Rigg Farm, Middleton in Teesdale. With Limousin incalf heifers from this home selling to £3600 twice firstly selling to Messrs Allan, Knock and secondly to Messrs Hardisty, Cleator.
