Kirkby Stephen SSBA In Lamb Ewe Sale – Thursday 13^th February 2024

On Thursday evening Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held the Annual Prize Show and Sale of Individual Crowned Swaledale Ewes, Shearlings and Gimmer Hoggs on behalf of the Swaledale Sheep Breeders Association at Kirkby Stephen Mart.

A good quality show was on offer with ewes displaying good breed characteristics and body to go as well, they were very good to sell achieving good prices.

The Championship was awarded to Mr P Hallam, High Birkwith Farm with a Ewe in lamb for a single to the B49060 ram, she sold to £5000, the Reserve Championship went to Messrs R Hutchinson & Sons, Valley Farm again for a ewe scanned for twins to the C46485 Ram, she went on to sell for £3,000.
