Autumn Whitebred Shorthorn Show and Sale

A pleasing number of 18 animals were forward for the Autumn sale at Harrison and Hetherington, judged by Mrs K Wall, Hall farm, Devon.

 Glentyne Ava took the top spot at the 2024 Autumn Sale of Whitebred Shorthorns.  Awarded 1^st prize female, female champion and Supreme Champion from MG &J Taylor, Low Arvie, Castle Douglas out of Blackburn Ava B by Lochdochart Crusader she is sold in calf to Glentyne Harold.  She sold for 3000gns to G Jackson, Blackburn. 

1^st prize Bulling heifer was Milnhom Louise who is the full sister to Milnholm Iona the dam of Blackburn Geewhizz which was the 2024 Spring sale champion and record price bull. She sold for 2000gns to R W & V Elliot, Blackhall.

1^st prize junior heifer was Corrie Marilyn 41^st which sold for 1400gns to RSPB Isle Of Islay.

Champion bull went to Netherby Hall Limited, who put forward Netherby Heracles who went on to sell for 1500gns to C Matheson from Inverness.

A fantastic result for the 2^nd prize bull Hottbank Usyk, bred, produced and brought out by

 JRF Pattinson and son he sold for 5000gns to Eskdalemuir Forestry Ltd, Clerkhill.
