SPRING SHOW & SALE
FRIDAY 7th MARCH 2025
An excellent show and sale of animals for the Spring 2025, once again the bulls were in high demand, a small consignment but a quality show of animals were forward. Expertly judged by Mr Dennis Gall, Lockerbie.
Blackburn Hellraiser won his class of three bulls, he was then awarded overall champion. Bred and brought out by Mr Gordon Jackson, Toftholm. Out of homebred Blackburn Helen and by M&J Taylors Glentyne Grafter Boy. He was bought by Messers Reddaway & son of Devon for 5500gns.
Parton Icepop was awarded Reserve Champion, bred by Mr A Hewson, a homebred bull by Parton Ferdinand, out of Parton Penelope 63rd he sold for 3000gns to Messers Brown, Cumbria.
Glentyne Calluna 2nd won the bulling heifers and became Female champion, she was bred by MG&J Taylor, Low Arvie. A homebred heifer by Glentyne Grafter out of Katrine Calluna - a cow bought from the Forestry commission Scotland in 2018. She sold for 2000gns to Mr JRF Pattinson and son.
Glentyne Lydia was the 2nd prize bulling heifer, she joins Glentyne Calluna 2nd and was bought by Mr JRF Pattinson and son for 2000gns.
