Borderway Store and Breeding Sheep Sale

On Monday 24^th March Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep.  Ewes with lambs at foot sold to £152/life for a Blue Texel with Texel lambs at foot from M Hodgson, Spring Hill, Wigton.  R Arthur, Snab, Waterbeck sold a strong Charollais cross with a Texel lamb at foot to £150/life.   M Hodgson, Spring Hill sold a great pen of 3 Texel crosses with single lambs at foot for 145/life.  T & A Greenbank, Bolton Hall sold Texel crosses with lambs at foot to £122/life.  Mules with twin Suffolk lambs at foot sold to £120/life from Hayden Nicholson, Hen Moss.

Store hoggs sold beyond believe with Suffolk hoggs from SJ & JM Brown, Bow Hall, Dufton topping the sale at £145, the same good home sold a pen of 8 Texels to £145.  A pen of 43 Fell mules from this home sold to £138.  Steven Hoodless, Highfield sold Hill Cheviots to £138.  A pen of 22 Swaledale store hoggs sold to £114 from SJ & JM Brown, Bow Hall.
