STORE & BREEDING SHEEP SALE

MONDAY 31st MARCH 2025

On Monday 31st March Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep. Another strong show of ewes & lambs was forward and met a magnificent trade throughout. A total sale average of £133.83 per life being achieved. Topping the sale was Ioan Jones, Greenbank selling a 3 crop texel ewe with a single texel lamb to £310 per life and £620 for the outfit, the same home sold another outfit for £280 & 205 per life. Mules topped at £136 per life for aged ewes with single lambs from H Nicholson, Carlisle. Herdwicks topped at £80 per life from Seymour Farms for a 3 shear with twins, the same home sold Charolais to £170 per life and Suffolks to £195 per life. Many more could be sold to advantage.

Store lambs continue to flurish with a sale average of £103.77 topping at £145 from A Jackson. Annan. Mules topped at £125 from Messrs Osborne, Park Head. Suffolks topped at £144 from Messrs Armstrong, Townhead. Many more could be sold to advantage.
