Beef Breeding Sale

On Thursday 15^th May, Harrison and Hetherington held their monthly Beef Breeding sale at Borderway Mart.

COWS & CALVES: A great show of 285 cows and heifers with calves at foot sold to one of the largest ring sides of buyers with 35 lots selling for £5000 or more. Messrs Malone, Pitcairn Farm’s run of heifers and calves topped at £6200 for a Limousin heifer with its Limousin x steer calf. Messrs McAlister, Wester Thomaston’s run of heifers and calves topped at £6200 for a Limousin x heifer and Blue x heifer calf at foot and also £6000 for a Blue x heifer and Limousin x heifer calf. Messrs Livingston, Kirtlevale’s run of heifers and calves topped at £6000 for a Limousin x heifer and Limousin x heifer calf. Messrs Cornthwaite, Balgray’s Dispersal topped at £5000 for a Limousin x cow and Limousin x calf.
