Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

With grass getting ever greener cattle remain in high demand.

The fortnightly sale of store cattle at Lockerbie saw Limousins top at £1490 for a heifer from Messrs DA Wilson, Belzies with others up to £1360 for a bullock from Messrs Richardson, Purdomstone. Aberdeen Angus heifers sold up to £1230 from Messrs Lockhart, Greenbeck. Limousin bullocks sold to 320ppk from Messrs Common, Crossdykes. Hereford bullocks sold to 270ppk from East Tinwald. Heifers were up to 300ppk for the usual quality run of Limousins from Messrs Halliday, Crawthat.

Sales at Lockerbie will continue to run fortnightly right through the year so take advantage of the high demand and please advise entries to the Auctioneers.
