19,000gns Top Price at Auchensala & Absolute Spring Opportunity Sale

The Auchensala & Absolute Spring Opportunity Sale saw a top price of 19,000gns, breeders from across the UK gathered in pursuit of top-tier genetics. The sale averaged £3,525.79 per lot and a notable 85% clearance rate. Sale managers, Graham Kirby and Ali Cook put together a catalogue packed with progeny of Royal and Madison winners and worldwide leading genetics.

Leading trade at 19,000gns was a First Choice heifer selection from three pregnancies. Consigned by Tim Fitzmaurice from County Kerry, the pregnancies are sired by Farnear Delta-Lambda and out of the exceptional Kingsway Caught A Vibe VG87.

This offering generated significant excitement, not only for its elite genomic potential but also for the fact that it marks the first daughter from Kingsway Caught A Vibe VG87 to be sold outside of Canada. The dam, Caught A Vibe VG87, is turning heads globally, and the sire, Farnear Delta-Lambda, needs no introduction as a consistent transmitter of type and production excellence.

Another first offering opportunity was Riverdane BD Lila Z, the first daughter of Riverdane Chief Lila Z EX97-2E SP LP50 to sell, she sold for 10,800gns to Messrs Lewis, Moston, Sandbach. Sired by Blondin Direct, this October 2024-born heifer is out of the UK’s youngest cow to ever score EX97.

Making 7000gns was the first Red & White progeny to sell from Maple! Auchensala Ambrose Mecca Red kicked off the sale for Ali Cook, this November 2024-born Ambrose daughter is out of Hodglynn Altitude Madison VG87 (2yr) who was 1^st Autumn 2yr Red & White at The Royal Winter Fair 2024, and then back to the legendary Royal Winter Fairy 2022 Supreme Champion Blondin RD Unstopabull Maple Red EX94. She was snapped up by Messrs Evans for their Heatherleigh herd.

Knowlesmere Jones Bullseye Bonsoir sold for 6000gns to the Watson family for their Muir herd in Ayrshire. Consigned by Andrew & Jane Whittaker and Gary & Izzy Jones, this September-born daughter of MB-Luckylady Bullseye is out of Knowlesmere Jones Dl Bonnie VG87 (2yr) and backed by 4 generations of EX dams behind her.
