Kirkby Stephen OTM and Cast Cow Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly Sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping the cast cows at £2149.53 was a 865kg Beef Shorthorn cast cow which sold for 248.5p/kg from Messrs Seymour, South House, Soulby.

Topping the pence per kilo at 288.5p was a 602kg Limousin cow totalling £1736.77 from Messrs Maughan, New Hall Farm, Hamsterley.

Messrs Paul, Sawbridge Hall, Bleatarn sold ten year old Limousin cross cow weighing 740kg to make £2068.30 (279.5p/kg)

Frisian cows sold to £1135.86 and 195.5p/kg for a 581kg nine year old from Messrs Chappelhow, Beckstones, Newbiggin on Lune.
