Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale with an entry of 257 calves. The trade of the day was for milk calves. Trade topped at £1040 for a 3 month Charolais calf from CM Kirkpatrick, Nether Place, They also topped the Angus section at £880. McNabney Bros also sold a 3 month Charolais at £900. Ireland Livestock, Morley Hill sold a 2 month Limousin bull to £860. They also had an Angus at £840 and a Luing at £800. Thackwood Farms sold two Blues bulls at £795. Messrs Beard, Dormansteads sold a Blue bull to the same price.

Heifers sold to £855 for an Angus heifer from EMD Fletcher, Wickness. Thackwood Farms sold a Blue to £770. T W Martin, Tempest Tower also sold a pair to £770.

J & M Osborn, Bolt How sold a Blue to £760. Messrs Beard, Dormanstead sold to £745 for a Blue heifer. CM Kirkpatrick, Howthat had an Angus heifer at £710. Bowe Dairy Company, Chalk Lodge sold a pair of 2 month Angus heifers to £690. Beards’s of Dormansteads sold a 2 month Blue heifer to £670

Black and whites sold to £490 for a Holstein from Thackwood Farm, Southwaite. A & A Paul, Greigsland sold to £475. Ayrshire sold to £455 from Messrs Beard, Dormansteads. Messrs Eilbeck & Son, Plumbland Farm sold Holsteins to £425.
