Borderway Store Cattle Sale

A nice entry of 330 store cattle this Wednesday with numbers up on the week with a large company of buyers being attracted to Borderway making all classes selling way beyond any presale expectations. A good run of younger cattle were mixed among the usual stronger types and saw a favourable return with strong local interest. Topping this week was a great Limousin x heifer from Messrs Grice, Newtown which sold at £2500. R & A  Slack,  Cockley Bank topped the steers at £2420 with a Charolais.   Dairy bred blues topped at £2400 for a pen from Messrs Middleton,  Stone House. Yearlings sold to £2200 for a very smart roan Limousin x heifer from Messrs Fowlie,  Guise.
