The Potstown Holstein herd owned by the Owen family who farm near Lockerbie was dispersed following the June Border & Lakeland Sale at Borderway Sale Centre on Wednesday 18^th June 2025.  Trade topped at 4,000gns for a youthful milking heifer with the milking heifers averaging £2743.   

Top Price at 4,000gns went to Potstown Chronicle Sally who was bought by Newhouse Farming from Dumfries.  She was sired by OCD Chronicle and had recently calved in May and was producing 42kgs. 

Another recently calved heifer sired by Progenesis Metallica sold for 3,800gns who was also purchased by Newhouse Farming.

Potston Retrolook Tina was the last lot in the sale and sold for 3,500gns to Newhouse Farming.  She was sired by Westcoast Retrolook and was bred from a super line of high testing dams.

The next dairy sale at Borderway takes place on Wednesday 2^nd July and features 400 dairy cattle in the Borderway Monthly Dairy Day Sale comprising freshly calved cows and heifers, dry cows, in calf heifers and bulling heifers.  On Tuesday 1^st July the Pathway Of Panda Sale takes place at Molland Ridge Farm in Devon featuring 70 Elite Red & White and Black & White Holsteins.  Catalogues for these sales can be viewed online at www.harrisonandhetherington.co.uk or can be ordered from the Pedigree Office 01228 406230
