CAST COWS: A larger show of 245 Cast cows and stock bulls was forward with once again all classes would be sharper on the week.

DA Harrison & Co, Hill House run of cows topped at 888kg, 371.5p £3298: 852kg 349.5 £2977: 751kg 355.5 £2669: 763kg 345.5p £2636: 751kg 349.5p £2624 and 701kg 359.5 £2520  for Limousin crosses purchased by Owain Llyr x 4 and Charles Kirkpatrick. Messrs Hunter, Upper Brydekirk sold a Limousin cow for 748kg, 359.5p £2689 to Owain Llyr.  Messrs Norman, Little Orton Farm sold a Limousin cow for 772kg, 343.5p £2651 to Owain Llyr.  Messrs Thompson, Town Foot sold Limousin cows for 582kg, 383.5p £2231 to Alan Jones.  Messrs Langcake, Sandhills Farm sold Limousin x cows for 622kg, 379.5p £2360 and a Charolais cow for 548kg, 357.5p £1959 bought by Alan Jones,.  Messrs Goldie, Newbie Mains sold the top priced Simmental cow or 945kg, 287.5p £2716 and 862kg 293.5p £2529 bought by Les Fell and Charles Kirkpatrick. Messrs McBurney, Ballsalloch Farm sold a Simmental cow for 776kg, 323.5p £2510 to Charles Kirkpatrick.  Messrs Wetherell & Son, High Buildings sold a Hereford cow for 588kg, 361.5p £2125 to Les Fell.  Maxwell Farming, topped the Angus selling for 574kg, 353.5p £2029 to Alan Jarvis.
