Harrison & Hetherington held their May Show & Sale of store heifers when an entry of 550 Store Heifers were offer.
Topping the sale at £3100 was the Overall Champion a 12 month old Limousin cross heifer from Messrs Smith-Jackson, Hightown, Haltwhistle which was bought by M Wynne, Glossop.

Our judge Mr A Dickinson, Ashbourne awarded the overall Reserve prize to the second placed Limousin cross heifer also consigned by Messrs Smith-Jackson which went on to sell for £1600 to Messrs Ingamells, Lincolnshire.
Messrs Boocock, Stamford Bridge sold British Blue heifers to top at £2500 which was bought by Messrs Neachell, Walsall with the three heifers from this home averaging £2193.33.
The overall sale average was £1100.24 (+£94.93 on the year)

Young smart bred heifers were a flying trade with Messrs Hayton, Asby Grange selling two 11 month old British Blue cross heifers to make £1900 each, with a 12 month old British Blue cross heifer making £1860 also from this home.
Messrs Tiplady, Red House Farm, Barnard Castle sold the second prize British Blue cross heifer to make £1620 at 7 month old selling to Messrs Dickinson, Ashbourne.
Messrs Sedgley, Low Bank House, Barbon sold a fantastic run of seven British Blue & Limousin cross heifers from 9-13 month old to average a whopping £1612.86 and topping at £2200 for a 13 month old Limousin cross heifer.
