Borderway Breeding Sheep Sale18.05.2021

At Borderway Mart on Monday 17^th May, Harrison & Hetherington held their sale of breeding sheep where trade remains strong although lack of growth remains evident. 

Top price of the day was £166 for a Texel cross hogg with single lamb at foot; this was from Thompson Livestock Ltd who had forward a total of 30 heads averaging £137.  A good consignment of mules were up to £128 per head from Messrs Miller, Tarn Lodge who averaged over £107 for their run of 13.  Suffolks sold to £116 for a pen of 4 from Messrs Walton, Beech Holme.

With more grass week on week demand stays high for ewes and lambs, the next sale of breeding sheep at Borderway is Monday 24^th May 2021.
