On Wednesday 9^th July Harrison and Hetherington held its weekly sale of calves. Top price today was £900 for a Limousin bull calf from Messrs Livingston, Kirtlevale. This good consignment was also upto £810 for a 2 month old. £800 for a Charolais from Messrs Gillespie, High Ploughlands. Messrs Robinson, Kirwaugh was upto £770 twice for super Blue Bulls. Black and Whites topped at £515 twice from Messrs Maxwell, North Doddington and £420 and £380 twice from Messrs McCamley, Knockshiffnock, Ayr. Heifers were upto £760 from Gillespie, High Ploughlands for Charolais and Messrs Farish, East Farm was up to £740 for a blue heifer and 2 heifers were up to £685 from Messrs Gaitskell, Highfield.
