Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 16^th July Harrison and Hetherington held its weekly sale of 284 calves.  Trade topped at £900 for a tremendous Limousin heifer calf from Mark Batty & Zoe Hall, Westerhouses.  TW Martin, Tempest Tower sold a pair of British Blue x bull calves to £875.  They also had other pairs at £860 and £830 and a single at £825.  Thackwood Farms had Blue bulls at £835 (x2).  W M Heron & Son, Eastfield had a Beef Shorthorn bull at £830.

TW Martin, Tempest Tower had a British Blue heifer at £780.  Thackwood Farms had a pair at £710.  Messrs Beard, Dormanstead had a Blue heifer at £705.  JG Threlkeld, Beyond the Moss had a month old Limousin heifer at £700.  WM Heron, Eastfield had a Beef Shorthorn at £700.

Fleckviehs sold to £570 from Andrew Vance, Portyerrock Farm.  They also sold them to £500 (x2).   Messrs Beaty, Stonewalls sold a month old Montbelairde to £400.  Bowness Farms, Threapland had Fleckviehs at £390 (x2).
