Kirkby Stephen OTM and Cast Cow Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly Sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping the sale at £2250 was a 835kg pure Hereford cow which made 269.5p/kg from Messrs Hall, Sedbury Home Farm, Richmond.

This home topped at 280.5p/kg for another pure Hereford cow, with others selling to £1967.68 for 704kg (279.5p/kg), £1869.14 for 676kg (276.5p/kg),  £1863.81 at 702kg (265.5p/kg), £1813.74 at 673kg (269.5p/kg) and £1800.72 for 656kg (274.5p/kg).

The consignment of 17 recently spained pure Hereford cows sold to average 644kg £1700.56 (264p/kg)

Limousin cows topped at £1950.30 for a eight year old Limousin cross weighing 660kg at 295.5p/kg from Raine & Davidson, Thorney Gale, Stainmore.
