On Monday 21st July Harrison and Hetherington held its first store lamb sale of the season. A good entry of 800 head attracted many buyers keen to make a start. Topping the sale at £160 was a smart Beltex cross from Sian Jordan, Low Fauld, Armathwaite. Texels sold to £145 for a pen of 3 from AW Hague, 5 Mill Street, Frizington who also topped the Suffolks at £142. HL Whitfield & Son, Batey Shield sold a pen of 14 Texel x Mules to £138. TS Brass, Espland sold a pen of Texel x Llyens to £134. B Walton, Goodie Hill sold a pen of smart long keep Beltex crosses to £133. JF Bowe & Sons, Foulsyke sold a pen of 46 Texel x Mules to £127.
All classes of store lambs can be handled here at Borderway on a weekly basis with a growing ringside of buyers.
