On Wednesday 30th July Harrison and Hetherington held their monthly Beef Breeding sale at Borderway Mart. A good show of cows and heifers with calves at foot were forward with trade being as good as last few sales with seven outfits selling for £4000 or more.
Messrs Hutton, Setmabanning Farm sold a Limousin bull for £5,800.
Messrs Barrow, Pow Heads sold a Blue cow and calf for £4,500. Harry Emslie, Brae of Coynach run of Limousin cows and calves topped at £4,400 and £4,200.
Messrs Hall, Lanerton Limousin x stock cows and calves topped at £4,220 (x2) and £4,000. Messrs Sams, The Firs sold a Limousin heifer and calf for £4,100.
