Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 30th July Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store bulls and weanling cattle in Ring 4.  A sale entry of 171 were forward with a trade to match up with recent weeks.  78 bulls were forward with a total sale average of £1436.76 being achieved.  Topping the sale went to Messrs Teasdale, Doddick selling a Limousin bull to £2410.  Messrs Nixon, Ribton House sold ten superb suckler bred Angus bulls selling to £2170.  J Duff, The Laythes sold a Charolais for £2390.  Steers averaged £1058.57 topping at £1960 from Messrs Lancaster, Sandford from for a British Blue steers.  This run of 4 averaged £1795.  Kilnstown Farm sold a superb ran of seven Limousin steers and heifers to average £1508.57 topping at £1640.  Messrs Beaty, Stonewalls sold five Blue steers to average £1546.  Heifers topped at £1780 again from Messrs Lancaster.  Messrs Hodgson, Blackwell sold a run of eight 6/7 months to average £1016.
