On Tuesday 25th May Harrison & Hetherington held their sale of ewes and lambs within Broughton Auction Mart.
Topping the trade was a pen of six Texel cross 3crop ewes from Messrs Crowe, Wha House, selling to £74 per head.
Fell sheep also sold very well, accompanied with Continental lambs. Messrs Ellwood, Baskaell, Upha sold his run to £48.50 for aged Herdwick ewes with Cheviot lambs at foot.
An array of different classes of quality were on offer and were well bid for, averaging £44.84 for the full run of predominantly fell sheep.
