Kirkby Stephen OTM & Cast Cows

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their sale of Cast & OTM Cattle on Monday when a good entry for a Bank Holiday of 30 cows were forward.

Topping the sale at £1551.38 was a seven year old Limousin Bull from Messrs Dixon, Peacock Hill, Dent which was bought by A Jarvis.

Topping at 210.5p/kg was a Limousin cross heifer from Messrs Beck, Townfoot, Tebay.

Limousin cross cows sold to £1424.64 for a 768kg cow which made 185.5p/kg from Messrs Dixon, Peacock Hill which sold to J Birkbeck.

Cast Bulls also sold to 157.5p/kg (£1551.38) for a 985kg seven year old Limousin from Messrs Dargue, Bank Top, Forrest in Teesdale bought by S Helliwell

The next sale at Kirkby Stephen for cast cows and OTM cattle is Monday 14^th June.
