Borderway Breeding Sheep Sale

At Borderway Mart on Monday 31th May, Harrison & Hetherington held their sale of breeding sheep.

The Bank holiday Monday sale, saw a larger show forward of ewes and hoggs with lambs. Trade for all classes was very buoyant, with Hoggs and lambs very much sought after.

Top price of the day was a pen of 10 Texel cross hoggs with Beltex cross lambs from Messrs Browell, Quarry House Farm, Hexham, selling for a very respectable £165 per life, of £330 per unit.  Mule hoggs were also very well bid for, but again the top quality slightly less on the week.
