Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep. Store lamb number were tight on supply this week and a busy ringside of buyers sent the trade through the roof averaging £110 per head. Long keep lambs were sharper on the week as well as stronger types. Topping the sale was a smart pen of Blue Texel ewe lambs from RG & LA Grieve, Whiteside selling for £142.

I Donaldson, Ashton sold a pen of 3 Blue Texels to £132. B Irving, Harper Hill sold a pen of 5 Texel crosses to £132. G Clarkson, Elivngton Hall sold a great pen of 23 Suffolk X Texels to £130 and a pen of 26 Suffolks to £129. AJ Dupuy, High Burncroft sold a pen of 30 Texel crosses to £128. J Murray & Son, Branch End sold a pen of 60 Texel X Mules to £125. JM & EM Neve, Riggfoot sold a pen of 25 Texel X Mules to £121. Mule Lambs sold to £114 for a pen of 47 from Messrs Black, East Kildarroch, Newton Stewart. Masham Lambs sold to £103 for a pen of 13 from Neil McNally, Hill Side, Bewcastle.
