Another big show of store lambs forward today with a trade to match. Buyers from all over came to Lockerbie this morning to witness the best store lamb market in the country. 1100 store lambs sold to average £95.Topping the sale today at £128 was a pen of Texels from Messrs Callander, Hightae following them at £127 was a pen of Blue Texels from Messrs Dalgleish, Thorniethwaite. A very secondary draw of lambs forward today with the majority of the sale being running hill lambs. Numbers short of buyer’s demand.
