BREEDING SHEEP - TERCROSSET SALE

On Saturday 29^th August Harrison & Hetherington held the annual production sale from the Tercrosset flock on  behalf of Messrs Whiteford, Brampton. The sale started with 199 gimmers which were subject to strong bidding throughout, 18 pens sold at 500gns and more to a top of 1100gns for a pen of 3 Texel crosses which sold to Master Ted Skelton, Maryport. An overall average of £423.06 saw a rise of £20.79 on the year. The run of 155 tups were a joy to behold with purchasers extremely complimentary on the size, power, skins and confirmation of the entire run this year. A sale best average of £1115.20 shows a rise of £182.09 on the year. A Texel tup Lot 21 led the day at 4200gns selling to Mr John Merrell, Irthington with the trent set by Lot 1 who sold at 3400gns to Mr Jones, Wales.
