Middleton Show & Sale of Store Lambs

On Thursday 28^th August Harrison and Hetherington held the annual show and sale of store lambs in Middleton in Teasdale Market. A total of 1498 were forward to level out at £92.09 which given the current drop in prime trade & the lack of grass available in the area is very respectful. Before the sale the show took place with this years Judge Jack Ivinson undertaking the duties.

He awarded the championship to Nicola and Nigel Foster, Birch Bush for a pen of Texel lambs selling to £124. Beltex lambs topped at £119 for Messrs Wearmouth, Parkside for a flashy pen of 6. Mules topped at £112 from David Mallon, Pallet Crag. Suffolks topped at £105 from JD Teasdale, Folly Farm. Long term lambs were certainly inline with other local centres & short term lambs kept with the national trend. A big thank you to our customers & sponsors once again making this sale a success.
