Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep saw all classes of lambs sharper on the week with numbers still slow coming forward and plenty buyers looking for lambs. The whole sale averaged £111 per head.

Topping the sale was an outstanding Beltex lamb from A & MJ Trafford, Bassenthwaite Hall selling for £180, the same good home sold a pen of 4 to £176. Lucy Hunt, Croft House sold a smart Beltex cross to £148 and a pen of 3 to £146 and another pair to £146. Texels topped at £146 from Messrs Will, Rook Farm. J G Johnson, East Foreshields sold a great run of store lambs topping at £140 for a pair of Texels, a pen of 10 to £130 and a pen of 47 to £124.  J Murray & Son, Branch End sold a pen of Texel cross Mules to £130. G Clarkson, Elrington Hall sold a pen of 50 Texels and pen of 26 Suffolks to £126. DA Race, Burnthwaite sold a pen of 12 Texel crosses to £124. Dorsets sold to £121 from D Campbell, Kirkford. 

All classes of store lambs and breeding sheep can be handled here at Borderway on a weekly basis to satisfy growing buyer demand.
