Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs saw a good entry of 1320 with the recent wet weather bringing a few more numbers out which is a good job as many buyers turned up in force desperate for numbers. The whole sale averaged £102.50 with all classes sharper especially long keep lambs.
Topping the sale at £152 twice were smart long keep Beltex crosses from Messrs Strong, Grapes Barn, Caldbeck. Texel crosses sold to £131 from P Horn, Pinewood Heights and £130 from JG Johnson, East Foreshields. G Clarkson, Elrington Hall sold a pen of 17 Texel cross mules to £123. Another great pen of 40 Texel cross mules from R Moscrop, Border Rigg sold for £121. Longer keep lambs were shaper on the week saw a pen of 26 Suffolk crosses from SJ Lewis, South Farm sell for £98 and a pen of 45 long keep Mules sell for £96 from AJ Dupuy, High Burnfoot.
