On Wednesday, 17th September Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned bulls and stirks in Ring 4.  A larger show of 75 bulls sold exceptionally well for the top end best bred sorts. Topping at £2500 for a tremendous 12 month Shorthorn cross from A & A Potts, Chapel House, Talkin. The same good home sold a pair of 13 month Limousin crosses to £2320 and an 11 month Shorthorn to £2280. R Wallace & Co, Mains of Collin sold an outstanding 11month Limousin for £2480. A L Mounsey, Woodhall Guards sold a 14 month Limousin to £2440 and a 12 month old Limousin to £2280. AJ Ewing, Dumbretton sold their Tops to £2180 for a Limousin Cross. J & J Craig, Westhouse sold a 27 month Charolais bull to £2110. G Bell & Co, The Bloch sold a 20m Limousin to £2010. Fleckvieh bulls sold to £1750 & £1620 from R Hamilton, High Crewtown. SC & NC Hodgson, Blackwell sold a pen of 3 11month Dairy Bred Blue bulls to £1310, 10 month old Flechvieh bulls told to £1230 for a pen of 3 from J Kirkwood, Mouswald Grange. Steers sold to £1880 for a Limousin cross from JR Taylor, Bird Bush the same hime then sold a pair to £1800. H J Bell & Son, The Breaks sold a great run of Hereford Bullocks topping at £1730 and selling a pen 3 to £1690. Aberdeen Angus bullocks sold to £1640 for an 11month old from R Johnston, Kimmeter Green, Annan with other yearling Angus to £1620 from E I Coulthard, Brisco Hall. Heifers sold to £1620 for a great pen of 4 from G & KM Atkinson & Son, Green Farm. R Johnston, Kimmeter Green sold a pair of Charolais heifers to £1560. M C Robinson & Son, West Cocklaw sold a pen of 3 Limousin Heifers to £1440.
