Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs with a larger show of 1371 forward.  All classes in hot demand seeing buyers from all corners and a few Scottish buyers back in the market getting stocked up due to the recent easing of Blue tongue Restrictions.

Topping the sale at £162 was an outstanding Beltex cross from A & MJ Trafford, Bassenthwaite Hall. Chloe Hunter, Cape Farm, sold a great run of Beltex lambs topping at £142 and others to £140.  Texel lambs sold to £131 from A Pattinson, Catcrags,  G Clarkson, Elrington Hall sold a pen of 52 Texel cross mules to £125. R Kellet & Sons, Errington Farm, sold a pen of 10 smart Texel Crosses to £124.  Blue Texels sold to £122 for a pair from J Bell, Birniehall.  HL Whitfield & Son, Batey Shield sold a pen of 27 Texel crosses to £120.  Texel cross Lleyns lambs sold to £116 from T S Brass, Espland.  David Mattinson, Cragg Farm, sold a pen of 29 Cheviot crosses to £112.  Mules sold to £95 for a pen of 20 longer keeping sorts from RH & EM Lord, The Bog with other to £95 from GA & DE Thompson, How Burnarn.
